Synthetic and Hide Pipe Bags Pipe Bags were the first product of the Bannatyne business and we are very proud today that our bags are the choice of many top bands and soloists. All our bags come in 4 sizes; extended small, small, medium and large.
We offer goose, synthetic and our favoured Hide pipe bags. Our synthetic bags also come with the option of the zip to allow access inside the bag for moisture control accessories. Our synthetic range offers a "pick up and play" bag that requires zero maintenance, ideal for the beginner or less frequent player.
Our hide bags are the most popular choice, offering the weight, feel and balance that comes with a traditional hide bag and because they come with the T-Zip allowing access inside the bag for moisture control accessories also give the ease of setup and maintenance of a synthetic bag. We offer an option of the zip on the side or on the bottom of the bag.

Moisture Control Systems With the demand for the best sound available there has been a tremendous growth in Moisture Control Systems over recent years.
Bannatyne offer a complete range of devices and in August 2008 released the Bannatyne Canister.
From a very simple plastic tube with a bottle attached to the more complex drone and chanter connected desiccant system which diverts air to the rear of the bag thus protecting the chanter reed from the warmest and most moist air.
